Safety & Equipment
Specific safety equipment is required to be allowed on the course. The attachment systems have proven reliable over a decade of experience and use advanced technologies developed in related activities.
Safety equipment is provided to every participant and includes:
Adults:
- a harness
- a double lanyard
- a pulley
- 2 carabineers
- a helmet
Children:
- a harness
- a lanyard
- a trolley
- a helmet
Despite their safety equipment, participants will not be permitted to start the course until they have received full safety training from an instructor. Only once they have demonstrated that they are safe to go, will they be allowed to continue around the course independently. Participants must understand their responsibilities in following the safety requirements.
An adult must accompany any person under 16 years old on the courses (except on the continuous belay system) and accept responsibility for ensuring that any minors in his or her group complete the course in accordance with the specific safety rules and advice given by the instructors. Participating adults will need to sign a waiver form accepting personal responsibility for supervising their own safety and the safety of all under-16 years old in their care. An adult can supervise up to 4 juniors. Participants need to measure more than 140 cm in height AND 10 years old to go on the adult courses.

For the children's course, we use a continuous belay safety system similar to the one on the Sydney Harbour BridgeClimb. The children cannot detach themselves by mistake from the safety system. They are securely attached from start to finish. Parents must also sign a waiver form.
Our staff are fully qualified and trained. They are easy to spot, friendly and experienced.
